Pros

Promote from within. Meritocracy (based on performance and not tenure).

Cons

Must have a long-term vision of a career. Start from the ground up (working hard and longer hours 49-55 per week). The strong survive based on merit / promotion.

Advice to Management

Employee recognition and team inclusiveness is a must

I worked at Enterprise full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

You meet really interesting people from the Monday business customer to the Friday weekenders warriors. You learn to deal with confrontation and work around situations that you cannot control like car problems, and lack of inventory. Co-workers are all hard workers and work as a team. Management encourages a fun work atmosphere to keep morale up and customers smiling.

    Cons

High stress because Enterprise business model is to run tight on everything, from cars to employees. Most days you don't sit down or go to lunch until after 2. Starting pay is low. Key is to move up quickly to avoid burnout. Customers can be disrespectful if they are renting due to an accident or if they do not have what is required to rent a car.

    Advice to Management

Encourage the fun work atmosphere because the day to day duties can be discouraging. Have your employees' back when you can with customer disputes.
