I worked at Enterprise (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great company to start your career with. Teaches you sales, marketing, operations, employee development, and customer service. Was with them for almost 7 years. As long as you perform moving up is fairly easy. The people that you meet and work with is what makes the company. After your tour of duty with ERAC you have the skill set to do whatever you want and you will have a solid network of like minded individuals for life. Pay is really good if you hit your targets. My first year being a Branch Manager I hit $45k and $90k in my last year. This job ONLY works if you are willing to put your career first before anything.

Cons

Work life balance is non existant. As a manager you are "suppose" to work 5 days a week but ends up to be more like 6-7 days. You get little help from upper management when you need help such as more cars to meet demand. Staffing can be a challenging so you end up working more days and after work to make up for it...but god forbid no OT!

Advice to Management

Hire Canadian upper management for Canadian stores rather than bringing over US "talent"...listen to your employees when they need help.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Great teaching
    Excellent management and marketing experience
Ability to Develop yourself and your team as better workers and people
Even if Enterprise isn't for you, the abilities and tools you learn can be transferred to any business in the work force.

    Cons

Work Life Balance as a Manager
Ratio to responsibility and pay structure isn't quite balanced

    Advice to Management

Enterprise tends to have more turn over then it should. The uppper management is very engaged for such a large company but the work life balance for the majority of young managers is not what it should be. Push more on the recruiting side to get more people in the branches to help lighten the load and create even better experiences for the workers and customers
