Pros

Get to keep your air miles, decent pay

Cons

Only real rewards are if you get more than 100% utilization rate, which means you're working more than 40 billable hours a week, not counting travel

Advice to Management

Show more respect the "little guys" that you buy up.

"Monotonous position and under paid with false hopes."

    Pros

Great benefits with 15 days of vacation the first year. The people that work at the company in the Business Development role are talented and fun individuals. The BDR department is compiled of mostly recent college graduates that are motivated to begin their career.

    Cons

The biggest downside was the monotonous job of cold calling c-level positions and asking about their software needs. Every individual was expected to make 80 calls a day and 3 hrs. on the phone. Management micromanaged and would monitor and get on people if they were off the phone for ten minutes and even sent out e-mails telling people they needed to reduce the amount of time going to the bathroom. However, the BDR managers were all very nice and were pressured from higher management. Most employees reached their position from a placement service, Career Professionals, that told many false promises. Management also strung along employees with the hopes of promotions that never materialized.

    Advice to Management

Be honest and have better communication. You have talented and dedicated employees that you should value. The salary was $30k ($15 hr) plus commission. Some commission checks were under $20 and when we started it was estimated that commission and salary would accumulate between $45-50k which couldn't be farther from the truth. Don't give employee's false hope for "great opportunities" and amazing promotions that never happen.

    Pros

The benefits are great...... also if you need experience after getting out of college this would be a good place to check out.

    Cons

Too many to list right now, but the main con would be that this job is mindless and boring. Monotonous would be a great way to describe this position. Manager do their best to keep you motivated, but fall short most of the time.

    Advice to Management

I would cut back on employee total, and use the BDR position as a more strategic role instead of a call center. Also raise pay, maybe then people will want to stay and better themselves within the company instead of always having to train new people that will leave in one year.
