Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

If you do not want to think, Ericsson USA is the perfect place to be because it encourage people not to and the management do not understand the industry or the technology so they are not expecting you to anyway.

Cons

Horrible place where people of a certain clan is promoting their own people. Hindi is fast becoming the company language and blatantly ignoring people of other race. Another group are the ex Nortel or NSN. If you belong to neither of these group...rest assure you have no career in the company

Advice to Management

Pay respect to meritocracy!

    I worked at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, including personal business days, sick days, automatic 401K match even if no employee contribution, etc., The company is concentrating on niche areas and are cutting down expenses on other varied expenses, which might be good. The sales force is very strong as well

    Cons

The company is cutting down opex on its varied investments, which might be bad news for some of the companies it acquired. Most of the operation is getting outsourced.

I have been working at Ericsson-Worldwide part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of Vacation , Good medical benefits ,

    Cons

Its not IP company . Its on the boundary of telcom vs new IP base transition.

So, if you are an IP guy, dont come to Ericsson. Definitely a bad choice to make. Ofcourse if you are an expert and wants to manage a Big Team , may work. But early in the career, cant guess

So until you define what you exactly wanted to do early in career , it will tough for you to move out of this company.
I warn . You will be stuck.

So, plan your technology skills and play the game accordingly. Check with your Team specifically. MORE IMPORTANT ONE.
