I have been working at Ericsson-Worldwide full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Open communication is promoted in the company. Also the engineers and managers have right balance of authority. It is one of the few tech giants in the US where managers don't have all the authority on how the projects are run. Company offers one of the best medical benefits in the industry.

Cons

Consensus is promoted (though situation is somewhat better in US operations than in Sweden) This slows down the decision making. Not always bad but many times it is tediously slow.

Advice to Management

More or less on target so keep doing what is working.

    Pros

    If young, you can get on the fast track quickly.

    Cons

    If you are older and experienced, they are not interested in experience or knowledge.

    Advice to Management

    Give up the 10% mandatory "refresh" each year to clean out the old and bring in the new. You've decimated all your talent. Forcing good performers to be rated as poor so someone is in the bottom categories after so many layoffs is poor management. Pay the people you received from Sprint equal to those you bring in off the street. Quit making comments about those Ericsson people who think they still work for Sprint, what they are sharing is a passion for the customer.
