Pros
Many great people you get to work with. Some bad apples, but the majority are good people.
Cons
I want to focus on 1 topic here, though there are others that are concerning. An email went out recently requiring return to in-office work for all employees that didn’t voluntarily return last year. No consideration seems to have been given on how this affects Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Allyship. Studies have show that Employees of color report fewer microagressions in remote settings & they also feel a greater sense of belonging when working remote. Workers with social anxiety, sensory processing disorders, and other mental health concerns benefit from working at home. Return to office mandates have proven to have negative effects on DE&I.
