I have been working at Estée Lauder Companies

    Pros

    Advice to Management

I have been working at Estée Lauder Companies for more than 5 years

    Pros

Supportive colleagues, timely pay, art + copy dream team, wonderful bosses. One of the best places to further your career as an in-house beauty editor.

    Cons

Open office layout can get super loud

    Advice to Management

The one major issue for our department is how loud it gets — the echo from people walking on the wood floors, a cacaphony of loud talking, laughter, sneezing, eating, congregating is all very disruptive when you’re trying to write. It’s not a functional space when the majority of the creative team has to wear noise canceling headphones. Encourage quiet in the area, put a long runner down the noisy wood hall everyone clomps...

I have been working at Estée Lauder Companies full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Amazing benefits for full time employees, unheard of in this industry. Lots of opportunities for promotion, though it seems promoting from within depends on the brand. Pay also depends on the brand, but is generally really good, especially for retail. Great discounts.

    Cons

Often not treated like a human, company is only with numbers and sales. Weekends and evenings like all retail jobs. Rarely promote from within anymore. Disorganized.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees like they are not robots. Promote from within so that managers actually sound like they know what they are talking about.
