    Pros

-People Care -Great Benefits -Great employee groups like mentorship, resource groups, Dens, clubs -Flexible work modes -Focus on sustainability -Great comp package -Start up feel with big boy benefits -Your work actually matters

    Cons

-Detachment between middle and upper management often leads to conflicting projects, priorities and jumbled communication down to lower level workers. -Organization/management in some areas is often misaligned with the work/workers they are managing- or lack the right skills to properly manage (from quick internal growth) -Newer workers that are SME’s in some areas are often overlooked -Etsy “nice” can seem a bit toxic and dilutes real constructive criticism or gets in the way of progress -Path for career growth unclear

Highs and Lows and There Ya Goes

    Pros

There are a lot of lurkers in the company. If I accurately document what’s going on, even to be fair to myself AND the company, they’ll figure me out. So, paranoia runs deep. Which is not a con! Not necessarily. Not in trust and safety. You have to be a little bit rat brained. Pros… you get access to a deep network of smart and interesting people. Access. There’s a lot of swag and side perks: everyone is getting trips to New York. That’s cool. Generally, name brand is very good so people on the street like you. There is a blameless culture with respect to learning and mistakes and in a company admittedly learning on the fly, everyone makes errors. Insurance is really good! Stock awards are generous but with the vesting structure and the cratering economy and you get the idea. It’s the cool kids club. It really is. That’s the best we can do. That’s the best I can say. Room for improvement and maybe we’re trying.

    Cons

It’s just a mess. And outsiders are despised. If you want a career either come with a glistening resume and a diamond plated backside, or go try Meta.
