Pros

The people, aircraft, and the flying. the work is good. The Northwest is great with everything it has to offer.

Cons

Communication is not part of the company and very 50’s and 60’s management style. My Director does not share anything which runs across the different departments. The President is very elitist and very unapproachable.

Advice to Management

Wake up and let the people you hired do the job. If an employee has new ideas and ways to reduce costs, at least keep an open mind. Loose the power trip attitude which runs rampant in maintenance and let us earn your trust if that’s ever possible.

    Pros

We did aviation jobs that were out of the ordinary, off the beaten path. Exciting and rewarding.

    Cons

Management lacked employee consideration with the direction of quick draw actions taken against employees.

    Advice to Management

Put yourself in the situations that we were put into and then re-evaluate your actions.

    Pros

Management by consensus. You can step into as much responsibility as you are comfortable with. Opportunity to lead at younger ages than elsewhere in the industry. We put together a 747 cockpit crew under 30 for instance.

    Cons

Merciless and random owner; noted for firing staff in front of the weekly assembly of vice presidents. Multiple accounting software systems that didn't talk to one another. Over sixty shell companies that I was able to count at one point.

    Advice to Management

Chapter 7 is where it belongs - rest in peace. It was a great bunch of folks making things happen on a day to day basis. Corner office (with two exceptions) not so much. Evergreen was a place people passed through on their way up or on their way down.
