Pros

There are plenty of young and talented people here, and it is easy to get along with a lot of people. Usually PTO start out with a minimum of 25 days. No healthcare premium.

Cons

Where to start. On paper this company and position looked fantastic. They sold it with an "extensive training period". Now, they no longer have any sort of formal training, so you are left to just figure it out as you go with zero milestones to meet, which will absolutely negatively impact your career goals. "Competitive Compensation Package", the offer includes a travel bonus that almost never meets their estimate. It also includes a yearly bonus that is not even tied to your individual performance in any way, so incredible effort could lead to zero gain. “Just be patient”, they will continually tell you that change is coming to better the working conditions and job, but it never does, and it’s been over a year. Besides the constant reassurance that they have to do to prevent you from leaving they lack any sort of retention strategy. As they expand the team they are adamant that there is no room for increased compensation, and then hire new engineers on not weeks later with a much higher compensation. The engineers on the team are treated like they are a resource, and there is ZERO change even when there has been significant push back. Finally, the job usually becomes strictly troubleshooting for a product that usually will not meet expectations relating to quality, reliability, and cost effectiveness.

Pros

Time off. Work life balance for the most part based on team. Certain teams have great managers.

Cons

Poor pay for most positions (engineers), constantly boasts how great the benefits are but every year they slash the benefits, the not great managers are really really bad and will make you regret working there, HR team that will gas light you at every turn, they are laying people off but trying to keep it a secret, sales practices are predatory and forced by upper management, rushed a product to market and the constant lies to customers have caught up to them and are being taken out on good people. The great culture this place used to have had died. I know this sounds very negative, but leaving was bitter sweet. However after leaving, right before it got bad was the best thing I did. I feel bad for my coworkers that are dealing with all the negative things that are happening right now. If I wrote this review last year, it would be a very different review, that's just how much things have changed.
