    Pros

    Great culture - people are very collaborative, really want to change the world and are always open to new ideas. With internal open talent marketplace, there are lots of opportunities and openness to move to new roles internally as well as for roles internationally. Very good work life flexibility- lots of work, but teams are very open to you managing in your own time. I have over 4 years with the company and each day still feels new.

    Cons

    Constant change in organisations and every aspect of work. The change is for the right reasons but may be hard for some to manage through.

    Pros

    There is only really one thing left as a pro of working at Expedia, the work and life balance is great, if you allow yourself to separate the two. You can easily be pulled into working after hours and on weekends a lot, with short notice, if you do not stand strong and say no.

    Cons

    There are three major cons of working at Expedia, which are only getting worse and worse each month as there is no effort to correct the issues. They include...
    - Very bad Management at all levels. Ranging from your Manager that has no idea what they are doing and cannot help you to improve yourself to the Middle and Upper Management that are stuck in the old ways and will not listen to their employees.
    - Lack of anything new and exciting happening in recent years, like it was five years ago. It is the same old same old day after day, with no hints of change. This leads to employee boredom, frustration, and good employees leaving for better opportunities.
    - Very little possibilities for career advancement and promotion unless you want to play the stupid politics and do not want to voice your opinions if they differ from Management.

    Advice to Management

    Remove the Cancer in the company in the ranks of Management that are no longer doing a good job, listening to the people doing the work, and want to make their teams better. The people doing the actual work, building the customer facing applications, and using the internal platforms know what is wanted and needed, please learn to listen to them. In addition, the hiring standards need to be greatly improved upon and returned to the same level of five years ago, as new employees are next to worthless, which just leads to more boredom and frustration among the good employees.
