I have been working at Expedia full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

It has not always been easy, but I have learned so much.
Upper Mgt really cares about how thier decisons impact the Brand and the Employees.

Expedia offers a great benefit package.

Cons

Expedia is a big company with employees world wide. Being spread out can cause timing and communication issues.

Advice to Management

Keep up the great work. Thank you for keeping our great health care benefits.

I worked at Expedia as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

You get your own cubicle as a contract worker, which is not always the case at other organization. The organization is very efficient and well-structured. Free drinks in each break room and free pizza lunch for all on the last Friday of the month. Decent pay for a lower level contract position. Worldwide reach, so there is a lot of interaction with other countries.

    Cons

My team was not very friendly 5 out of 9 on the team were contract workers. Contract workers are not allowed to attend many company functions, which makes you feel a little excluded. Very strict about hours and monitor your time down to the minutes - or so it seems. You have to be out of your contracted position at Expedia for 3 months before you can apply for a permanent position within the organization, unless they decide to buy you out of your contract and make you permanent in the position you are already in.

    Advice to Management

Make your contract workers feel more comfortable and more a part of the team.
