    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Great benefits, HQ in great location. Some very good people but....not enough of them.

    Cons

Unfortunatley they do not promote from within, and not on merit. Lots of dead wood within the company. Senior Managment just goes through the motions in regards to Employee development, creating new opportunities and listening to new ideas. Companies different divisions work in vaccum's, structure of technolgy organization makes little sense with endless power struggles. Watch your back .

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect. The morale in the Interactive division is extremely low. Employees are waitng for the economy to improve and then you will see a mass exodus of personnel.

Senior Leadership needs to active professionally and with respect. Please make the change.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Free bagels. Some friendly people. Building was downtown, so commute is easy. Not much more to say than that.

    Cons

You had a small amount of people that "got it", otherwise, for the most part, a good deal of the people were clueless. Working long hours does not translate into understanding how things work (sadly, this is the case in most IT shops, not just in this company).
Also, having an attitude does not translate into being a good programer. You have these young groups of people, who don't understand basic computing principals and they get to decide the direction of the infrastructure. Most of the computing could be done relatively cheaply, but then , things are so overly complicated that the next stop is always the big -iron solution (exadata was beyond overkill). Overall, it was hip, it was happening, but sadly, clueless.

Lucky for them, they make so much $$$ , that they can literally throw money at solving problems.

    Advice to Management

This is for the guys way, way up the food chain (talking to the parent company). Better take a better look at what's going on.
