Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Experian full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Interesting work
Good location easy commute
There is a sense of trying to serve charities
Ftse 100 firm
Nice enough colleagues

Cons

Unrealistic expectations
Poor work life balance
Self serving management with no foresight beyond the bottom line
Archaic HR policy
Real information does not flow despite a deluge of emails and intranet sites which are supposed to deal with this.
Insular Departments
Huge staff turnover

Advice to Management

If you really cared about people you'd find and release talent that you did not know you had. Results focused policies only lead to harassed, bullied staff who eventually quit. Most of these people want to contribute and are loyal but leave because they feel used and unappreciated.

I worked at Experian full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The company gives good bonus if the yearly goals are fulfilled; the team-mates are usually fine, and they are willing to teach you.

    Cons

The managers and Directors think "the client" is God: the employees must fulfill whatever they want at whenever time they want, in a frame time defined by the clients. There is no family time.

    Advice to Management

    Employees are not machines!!!!!!!!!

Lots of autonomy in how you do things and get things done.
Growing firm so lots of opportunity for progression.

    Cons

Very little official training - often have to teach yourself.
Career paths not well defined - not often clear what is required to progress.
IT systems are not good enough.
Depending on the role salary can be low.

    Advice to Management

Fix the IT infrastructure. Make it clear what is needed to progress careers. Offer more regular feedback.
