No opinion of CEO

Pros

- Smart, kind employees
- Great benefits
- Average market pay
- Opportunities to apply for different jobs
- Flexible with work at home options
- Well known brand

Cons

- Struggling culture, most employees are unsatisfied with their jobs/managers, but they cruise under the radar to get by
- Performance focused only - no people focus...daily grind.
- Most people are scared about lay offs every 6 months - when mid-year and end of year results are reviewed
- There are great managers and poor managers...no control over how well managers are managing employees
- There are too many sales reps calling on one account. Its confusing to the customer and frustrating to the salesperson
- Highly political work environment. VPs are scared to speak up to upper management
- Most jobs are stressful and work/life balance is not encouraged enough. Most employees are "too busy" to help with projects

Advice to Management

Care more about employees, Senior mgmt is more involved with their own promotions and perks than caring about the rest of the employees. Listen to your employee survey results and actually DO something about it.

    Pros

The company culture is great. Casual dress, free breakfast on Fridays, great training courses, fun activities like Beach Day, Boat Cruise and company parties. You are expected to work hard but they provide fun activities to reward you.

    Cons

The location can make for a tough commute depending on where you live

    Advice to Management

Some of the systems being used are old and need to be updated.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

there are none at the moment - continued cuts and layoffs in Marketing division, senior and midlevel managment only interested in protecting themselves and their pets. some IT managment from manager level to director level has never written a line of code in their life! there because either they are pets of sr management or dont pose a threat. if you enjoy working with front line managers who always work from home, or sr management who are proud they never advanced their education past a high school diploma, the place for you.

    Cons

outdated IT infrastructure which a group of IT staff that still live in the IBM 370 world - a PMO office that frowns on PMP certification or PMBOK practices, would not know Waterfall from Agile practices if you explained it too them. a QA group who has no idea testing plans, tools, or metric comparisons. great place to work if like being overworked because your capable at your job while your cube mate surfs the web all day - like living under threats daily by management, see capable people let go while while dating partners and roomates stay, they place for you

    Advice to Management

clean out the ranks in a business like manner - 90% of your IT people are useless, expeically in Lincoln and Schaumburg - remove those who have sat on their rumps and done nothing - those with only GED's and no certifications since they started - enforce your no or zero drug tolerance policy - get out of the offices and see what the issues are and who is a true performer, stop listening to the crap front line and mid level management is feeding you protect themselves and their pets.
