I worked at ExxonMobil as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, mostly good people, professional facilities.

    Cons

Upper EXXONMobil management as well as their direct-hire supervision is not only oblivious to the talent that may be working for them in a contractor capacity, but has no interest in knowing about one's skill sets or experience. Contractors - particularly in administrative support position - are treated like second class citizens, and unless they're young female's with nice physical figures, have no advocacy from the Temp firms who employ them.

    Advice to Management

Be aware of who you have working for you on premises in contractor capacities. I worked 25 years in aerospace, Standard Tooling. A LOT of your OSHA reportable injuries could have been avoided, had my experince with advanced hand tools been consulted
