Pros

always busy and a steady paycheck. the pressure of a big corporation is not there as much as other bigger companies or even doctor owned businesses.

Cons

It is always busy and the clients are not the smartest in the world. not as high tech with selling of glasses.

Advice to Management

adding smaller management roles that are important like lead techs with keys and lead sales tech with keys and codes. reward hard workers with certified roles and extra incentives to want success

    Pros

    Company cares about you. Treats employees as people, not just a number in a store. Keeps everyone informed with an online blog. Employees can share ideas and updates from their stores.

    Cons

    It is a retail store. Busy season can be stressful. Put on your thick skin when it comes to rude customers.

    You're doing great. I feel you give us the tools and encouragement to do our job well.

    I worked at Eyemart Express full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great team of opticians and lab personal. Freedom to run store as you choose ( within guidelines). Occasional decent and nice customer with basic comprehension skills.

    Cons

    Poor pay. No work life balance. Close to zero training. No clear guidance from overloaded, unavailable upper management. Rudest, most entitled customers I have ever dealt with in my 21 years in the field. Could be due to it being a discount store. Treats employees poorly, and sucks at customer service overall ( unless just giving away free product is what they call good customer service) which is no way to run a business long term. They certainly use bait and switch on customers and have stupid sales goals. Your average sales ticket for example has to be $210. You would think if I exceed that, then great! Nope, you get reprimanded for that. Crazy, crappy, disgusting place to work.

    Advice to Management

    Train managers, be evaluated for alzheimers, be kind, and helpful.
