I worked at F Tech R&D North America full-time

Pros

Good benefits, nice physical working environment (if you have no concerns for cubicles). Nice place for a recent grad to start out at. Some good people work there (but not all of them).

Cons

They run extreme to the lean business model. Business was doing well, but still expected most to the jobs of several people instead of hiring more help. There were huge discrepancies on how some were treated versus others. If you were in favor with upper management, you received accolades, better pay, better hours, etc. Even if you were not the best employee. It was about being "buddies." Some folks worked hard and excelled at their jobs (and the 3 other jobs they were doing) but would not get recognized. Just became too much

Advice to Management

Hire staff appropriate to the work load. One person can only do the work of three before they burn out and have to leave. You have some fantastic people working there...reward and recognize.

  2. "Good learning environment. Give you a chance to learn and grow. But, long hours and lots of stress."

I have been working at F Tech R&D North America full-time

    Pros

Good culture. People are easy to get along with. You can learn a lot in a very short time.

    Cons

Long hours and a lot is expected out of the design engineers. They need even more support. It is a expectation to work long hours and meet near impossible deadlines.

    Advice to Management

Don't throw all the managers and technical experts at one problem. Use those resources more effectively for other issues that will pop up during the day that also need attention. Do not ignore more support being needed until it is too late. Design and CAE engineers get burned out and will continue to leave. Don't let your experienced employees leave so easily. They are the future of the company.
