I worked at FCi Federal full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Good pay, steady hours, gain great skills

Cons

This company has zero sympathy for anything that may cause someone to be late even if it is way beyond your control. You can do the best work but if something like a transportation strike happens and causes you to be late for the first time ever they can and will fire you.

I worked at FCi Federal as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Having this experience looks good on paper-

    Cons

The office environment and culture of FCI Federal contractor employees in the El Paso, TX field office is absolutely awful and toxic. Supervisors are not under qualified and abuse their title (bully other contractors, reprimand them for absurd reasons, constantly criticize their work and love to play favorites with other FCI contractors). Regardless of your education, experience or previous salary, FCI Federal only pays $10.50 per hour. The benefits offered to the employees are definitely overpriced. FCI does not provide on-site personnel management/representation, shows little to no support to solve issues nor provide their employees with necessary training and daily production expectations are unreasonable.

    Advice to Management

Management should definitely consider revamping their staff selection process and conduct quarterly site visits along with climate surveys. Consider that the type of work involved in this arena requires a considerable amount of responsibility and accuracy. Employees should be paid the minimum $14.50 per hour. Offer your staff training on professional development and personnel management, offer an open door policy for any concerns and issues pending resolution. No employee should ever feel afraid to go to work.

I worked at FCi Federal as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay and benefits were good when I worked there. About all I can say for this company.

    Cons

No room for advancement and when there is a new open position, management plays favorites and gives the job to their cronies. When managers want you out, they single you out until you say or do something to be fired or you quit because of harassment and don't even make one mistake.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of some of your task, project managers and replace them with ppl. who do not play games or favorites. There is no one you can go to when there is a problem with some management.
