I worked at FOX News part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very active, lot's happening. A good learning center. The tools are there to do a good job and one just has to be aware of what's happening to succeed.

    Cons

Like any large organization, it's what you make of it. Stay focused, arrive to work on time, work hard and you'll be OK. The work can be frustrating at times, and it is NOT an environment to experiment with procedure. They have it down well and it's a matter of executing what they want.

    Advice to Management

Recognize all in the team. They all contribute.

I worked at FOX News as an intern (More than a year)

    Pros

The biggest pro is knowing that your work reaches the biggest audience in cable news. It's also great to be able to work with some of the most talented journalists in the field. People there are generally very motivated and very good at what they do. These are among the reasons why the company has a relatively high retention rate.

    Cons

The biggest con is that people often automatically assume that you're a Republican. Yes, the folks who work on the partisan talk shows typically are personally conservative, but not all of the straight-news reporters are.

    Advice to Management

Too much reliance on the seniority system.
