    Pros

You can make a real difference in tackling the world toughest problems and you can learn a lot a build an important network .

    Cons

Given that you are not in the usual consulting business, sometimes is difficult to have results in the short term.

    Advice to Management

I would highly encourage the Management team to hire people with a more international background given the challenges we are working with.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

A good team of smart, young consultants who are genuinely passionate about social impact. They are the life and soul of this company, who despite putting in absurdly long hours at work, go the extra mile to keep the office culture open, friendly and honest

    Cons

There are folks in the leadership group who tend to be removed from the realities of scaling an organisation or bridging the comprehension gap between consultants and operations staff. As a result, everyone ends up sweating the small stuff leading to poor work-life balance.

    Advice to Management

Be more empathetic in dealing with the problems faced by junior staff and help them with pragmatic, workable solutions. Failure to do so might result in a consistent struggle to attract and retain top tier talent. Also avoid jargon, cliches and platitudes while communicating your goals for the org in the near term. Keep your messaging accessible, if you want your team to contribute to the journey
