I worked at Facebook as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

* Lots of access to intelligent, experienced FTEs
* Great benefits, including shuttles to work, daily meals, and free laundry service
* Very open culture, with a lot of trust given to new employees and interns alike
* Able to innovate and have impact regardless of tenure or position

Cons

* Interns mostly stick to their team, so for internships which team you get can be very crucial in defining your experience. This can be make or break for some interns, since some teams have unreasonable expectations or just don't mesh well with their interns.
* At least one other intern I knew complained that some teams seemed "easier" in terms of receiving a full time offer than others.

I have been working at Facebook full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Choosing your own product team to work with
    - Free food, medical plan, 401K, CalTrain passes, along with many other perks of a big tech company
    - Company culture
    - Strong management with a strong philosophy
    - Beautiful campus

    Cons

    - Expanding rapidly, so it could lose some of the "startup" feel

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work and try to minimize the corporate feeling

I have been working at Facebook as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The internship program is great! I learned so much!

Pay is great. Culture is awesome. Corporate housing is easy and nice.

    Cons

You're pretty much thrown into the fire immediately. But I think they do that on purpose to see who can take it.

It's VERY fast paced. You're expected to learn quickly and fairly independently (although you should know when to ask for help!), which isn't for everyone

Expect to spend 50-60 hours a week at work. BUT, it doesn't really feel like work.
