Advice to Management

If you are going to hire someone, plan ahead. Think about getting that person in front of a trainer, or better yet, how about having your manager provide some training for you instead of making account calls? Maybe instead of saying "find every dealer in these three cities and call them 10 times a week and sell! sell! sell!", maybe pull your head out of your ass and help! help! help! 31 years of experience with a company does not necessarily make someone a good manager. When will people realize that fact!? And how often do you really think a parts manager is going to want to take your call? My guess is that more than once a week and you are just looking for a rejection or an ignore.

    Pros

A good place to work if you can't find anything else or if you have no desire to affect change or be recognized.

    Cons

There is an inner circle at the corporate office that isn't open to newcomers. Some very poor employees are protected. New employees are rarely acknowledged, unless of course you are in sales.

    Advice to Management

Listen to the advice you get from some of the very talented people that go through your revolving employment doors. Someone earlier said that your theory was "if it ain't broke don't fix it". It's more like "it may be broke, but we will just sell more to make up for it".
