I worked at Fairway Market (New York) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Several stores around New York CIty metro with a reputation for having a good variety of specialty groceries. A lot of people know the store from the original one on 74th and Broadway.

    Cons

Very rude and opinionated senior management, store managers and corporate managers. The culture seems one with a lot of conflict and the expectaion that accepting a job means you agree to work weekends, holidays, whenever they want.

    Advice to Management

Since everyone who interviewed me told me something different, maybe there is some cultural confusion? Interviewers should be on time to the interview and not accept phone/pager calls and answer mail. Doesn't seem like you are interested in attracting talent.
