Pros

The work with the childeren can be rewarding.

Cons

People are often promoted more on their willingness to follow a politically correctness viewpoint rather than on what is the best for the children. This often leads to program objectives based on what is the popular politically correct viewpoint, rather than treating children as dynamic individuals with seperate needs.

Advice to Management

Be more invested in doing what is best for the children and honestly communicating with your staff than just following the latest catch phrase of the moment.

    I worked at Family & Children's Center part-time

    Pros

It's rewarding to get to know the clients. The supervisor for the department I worked in was extremely nice, and made things moderately less stressful while I worked there.

    Cons

The training consisted of having a binder handed to you and a set of keys shortly thereafter. If you have experience in mental health this is a great facility to work at, but if not run as far as you can in the other direction.

    Pros

The colleagues who work with the clients are great.

    Cons

The administration have absolutely no clinical background either in education or experience. They are punitive, do not pay employees well and have little to no understanding of therapy issues.
