I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Majority of the people I've worked with are great and at our facilities in Olathe, KS and OKC, OK, we are a Farmers Family! The company does a lot of great things for it's employees, little extra perks and amenities at these contact Center sites. Quite a lot of opportunities for growth for strong performance!

Cons

Some smaller specialized departments do not have a lot of growth opportunity, but they try to provide project work and opportunities to work with other groups for growth. Not the highest paid company, but a quite good benefits package.

Advice to Management

Remember to put yourself in employees' shoes when making decisions that can impact the employees. Include employees as much as possible when looking to make major changes so they will feel included and "buy in".

I have been working at Farmers Insurance Group full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are opportunities to move up in the company, limited travel. There are good opportunities to continue your education.

    Cons

Most jobs are low pay for the industry, poor upper management, limited ability to work from home and no flexible hours.

    Advice to Management

Stop laying off good experienced workers only to hire limited experience and quit out sourcing jobs that should be kept state side.

    Pros

Farmers wins awards for their training. They put a lot of time, effort, and money into training adjusters with no experience.

    Cons

Once you've made it through training and become a competent adjuster, Farmers seems to want you to move on so that they can hire someone else in for less pay.
