I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Large company with great opportunities for growth. No layoffs. Outstanding leadership and excellent benefits. The company is here to stay and always reinventing itself due to the work of great leaders.

Cons

Salary for management positions are not up to par wit h the work requested. In order to prevent layoffs, the pay usually gets cut and the work distributed upon lower management. Company trying to cut costs at every corner in order to stay profitable.

Advice to Management

Increase pay and bonus to lower management.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time

    Pros

Solid company, decent work environment. Sales incentives and Decent Benefits.

    Cons

Sporadic and insufficient training. Lack of focus on real shipping information, customs proceedures for International Shipping. Turnover yields slow re-hire time as districts moderate open rec numbers to force better profit numbers from employed staff. Inconsistent Sales philosophy from store to store. Management prizes competetive behavior over consistent behavior.

    Advice to Management

Take the cons list above and use that as a checklist to fixing the problems of consistency in the company. Be proactive about higher sales philosophy as a training model for new employees. Be less "in the moment reacitve" and more "systems management" oriented. Somtimes the problem isn't a person...but the forces working outside the person causing them to be out of balance.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great people and customers, a different story to hear every day, very diverse, many locations to work at, good opportunity for advancement, excellent benefits package for full-time employees, okay benefits for part-time employees, strong backing from parent corporation (FedEx Corp).

    Cons

Micro-management is setting in from COO on down, company moving toward cookie-cutter fast-food mentality and away from consultative needs-driven service. Customers have always known FedEx Office (Kinko's) was not the low-price leader and instead have visited for the dominating service, but more and more that service has become quota-driven and less personalized.

    Advice to Management

Not everything is black and white.
