I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Paid Time Off. Discount on Shipping. Get to use the adobe creative suite and microsoft office on a daily basis. Never boring.

Cons

Sometimes too fast paced. Not nearly enough compensation for the workload and required skill set. Work environment can be frustrating when you are constantly pulled away from your current project to help a customer at the counter. Training is often focused on how to talk to customers instead of how to use the software and machines.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    * nice office environment at the Galleria in Dallas
    * opportunity to meet and work with a wide range of people in many different departments
    * decent pay scale at least from my perspective as a salaried employee
    * emphasis on balance of work and home life; offices are pretty empty by 5-5:30pm

    Cons

    * traffic can be a nightmare from any direction!
    * promotions/advancements can seem political (more who you know than what you know)
    * difficult and sometimes incompetent people are moved to other teams instead of let go
    * stodgy leadership cannot wrap their collective heads around telecommuting even though certain teams have proven their ability to do this (i.e. keeping their teams up and running during a snowstorm that closed the main office); for a fairly high tech company, they are decidely behind the times in this area

    Advice to Management

Embrace telecommuting - find a way to make it work instead of crowding more and more people into less and less space.

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Benefits are good if you are able to find out about them.

    Cons

    Retail environment, Retail attitude !

    Advice to Management

It is a shame that you hire managers that are not experienced and working in a retail environment is difficult as it is but when petty non sense is a big part of the work environment, It creates a negative work environment.
