I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good benefits for the level of job it is. Pay is mediocre.
1 week of vacation 1st year, 2 weeks the 2nd year and 3 weeks starting the 4th year.
401k matching up to 5%.
Health, dental, vision. Not great plans, but something.
Managers can bonus quarterly but it is rare in most locations.

Cons

As with any customer-service oriented job, you are expected to meet unrealistic customer expectations and give every customer a lengthy spiel about the current month's sale ("Don't forget to take the survey too!")

Advice to Management

Quit it with the forced talk tracks and making us sell things that people don't want. Focus on expanding your online offerings.

I worked at FedEx Office full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits
    Discounts on shipping
    Discounts on some software

    Cons

Do not take advantage of employee skills
Not very many degrees within the company- managers - district managers worked their way up- not necessarily with a degree
Do not recognize and reward employees-
Your direct boss determines whether you succeed- not your work
    Extremely political and clique-y
Told you don't have to work overtime, but " need to get the job done for the customer"
    No home life balance

    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at FedEx Office full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good benefits, decent pay to start. That's pretty much it.

    Cons

Don't expect any recognition for your hard work, ideas or talent. Opportunity is rare, and there's a lot of discouragement for individual growth and aspirations.

    Advice to Management

At least fake an attempt to care. Individuals are continually culled regardless of how hard they work. Instead of excising individuality, you should invest in it. Why should workers care about a job that doesn't care about them?
