I worked at Federated Co-Operatives full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people I worked with were awesome. Middle management was great. Hours were good.

    Cons

All the work procedures seemed to be straight out of a 1950's era movie. We literally had to print off and mail copies of all our records to central archives. We also kept another copy filed in our office to refer to later as we couldn't check back in the computer system.

Their computer system was an IBM 3270 mainframe which they were in the midst of panicking to replace. System outages were 3-4 hours per week.

I ended being approached by a recruiter elsewhere that was very aware of these issues and targeting FCL employees. I gladly applied and took their offer

    Advice to Management

You should have invested in new systems and updated procedures regularly. The amount of change being forced in short time is clearly a problem. You're in position where you plan to move forwards 50 years in 2.
