Pros

Great benefits, paid training and they pay for your licensing.

Cons

The company promotes reps into management and most of the reps should not be in management. The managers aren't required to have a college degree and are more of trading specialist rather than managers. If you get stuck with a bad manager your career development is shattered.

Advice to Management

Stop promoting the best traders into management and start looking at the ability to lead and manage a team as the people to promote.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

There are lots of learning in the form of training and cross-training available. Is an industry leader so it looks good on your resume.

    Cons

Lots of changes since 9/11, this includes ongoing layoffs and job relocations. Lots of cliques and special treatment for some. Hard to move up and advance for others.

    Advice to Management

Think more about the employees as human beings and not just numbers. Forcing great employees to resign because they cannot relocate.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the culture of this company and how they worked. I would recommend working for fidelity.

    Cons

The problem I had was that Fidelity was too bureaucratic and you had to go through too many levels to get anything done there.
