Pros

Tough to satisfy the 20 word minimum talking about the pros of this company. Covered parking, on site gym.

Cons

IT department is unfocused, disorganized; management is absolutely amoral and contemptuous. The pay is a few dollars less than insulting. Bureaucracy and ego take precedence over any creativity or even common sense.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    great compensation/benefits
lots of opportunity for growth, learning new tech
    mostly great people
personal brand equity can take you a long way if you keep the work up
private company (i.e. much less of the NYSE short-term view you see some places)

    Cons

increasing global diversity (meaning that jobs are often moving, usually to other parts of the US)
    heavy, heavy workload
if you get a bad reputation for something, it is hard to shake free of - the same as good rep follows you

    Advice to Management

The site strategy is the biggest risk to working at Fidelity, and a lot of people know it. Is this the reputation as an employer that you want?

    Pros

training, location, associates, technology and products

    Cons

ever changing compensation structures at every level

    Advice to Management

change for the sake of change is not the key to gaining market share
