I have been working at Fidelity Investments as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Fidelity allows many different types of projects an individual can work on and you are definitely not bored.

Cons

With so many projects, it can be difficult to stay on top of so many things.

Advice to Management

It would be great for some more accountability for management.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy Series 7 training. The benefits are pretty decent.

    Cons

Phones, phones, phones, phones.... get the picture?

This job is mundane at the core. Every single task is repetitive. It is a constant stream of taking glorified service calls over and over, with the same requests again and again.

There is very little outside opportunities, or work responsibilities.

Managers are nothing but micro-managing and just want to see themselves go up the ladder.

All promotions are just another form of phone job in a service or sales related role.

How many times do you have to explain rules of IRA distribution before you go insane?

    Advice to Management

Allow for more outside of the mundane life of the rep. Hire from the inside and promote other jobs outside of phones.
