I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Decent benefits overall but more expensive than other firms in the industry. You will learn a lot if you know nothing about the business to begin with.

Cons

Overcrowded, work area is smaller than an elementary school desk. Advancement is based on arbitrary targets and how much networking you can fit into your 30 min lunch. Previous education, experience and overall ability matter very little and can be detrimental as everybody starts in the same place. The entire organization has a culture where they have customers and most employees believing they are all about service and not profit.

Advice to Management

Learn what incentives really are. Candy and Pizza parties are not motivators to actual adult professionals. Earning raffle tickets for working overtime with a 2% chance of winning a trivial $50 gift card is insulting. Perhaps you should examine why the actual overtime pay is not incentive enough.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The benefits are great and the corporation really knows how to treat its employees. I have been working at a branch with about 20 other advisors and everyone has been extremely supportive of one another and helpful.

    Cons

I have only been working for the company for about 9 months and so far I haven't noticed anything I don't like about the company.
