I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

The culture is the best of any company for which I have ever worked. They truly care about their employees and their customers -- It is not just lip service like at so many companies.

Cons

Working in a call center the schedule is regimented, but it does make the day go fast.

Advice to Management

I am very impressed with the management team.

    I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    The company has tremendous resources. I had the opportunity to work with some very smart and capable people. Excellent work/life balance, and the benefits were very good. Decent career opportunities *IF* you're willing to live where the company wants you to.

    Cons

    Not long after I was hired, the company went into a cut & outsource mode. Salaries stayed flat during my tenure, as with most of the financial services industry at the time. Too much of my time was spent changing jobs to avoid being relocated.
    Truly horrid 'Human' Resources. While driving my child to school one morning, I learned of the latest RIF over the radio. My child looked at me and asked, "Are we okay?".

    Slow moving with regards to latest technology trends
    Tendency for management to manage upwards and focus on their own prospects/careers
    Not much effort made to build team spirit/morale
    Compensation not very competitive
