I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Great benefits such as tuition reimbursement, profit sharing, 401k match, etc. All for pretty easy work as long as you can pass the Series 7 and 63

Cons

stuck on a phone all day, work in a call center, sometimes deal with irrational or novice clients, not innovative work at all

Advice to Management

allow more sick days, and drop or make occurances more flexible

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great training, opportunity to learn the business and get licenses. Challenging roles allow you to learn a good deal about the brokerage business.

    Cons

Squeeze every ounce of patience by adherence to at least 5-10 metrics while your also dealing with demanding customers. Rigid and non flexible hours. Internal staffing doesn't care about your career development, it actually seems easier to look for a job outside than internal. Limited opportunities to advance from a phone role, not much in terms of support, almost feels like the company doesn't want you to move.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job of offering top talent an incentive to stay and perform. Everything encourages being mediocre and is more about time spent in role and "networking" with the right people than getting an advancement opportunity based on merit. The focus on customers is great there should be more of a focus on employees also.

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Most people want to do their jobs well. Upper management receptive to changes if you know how to present the business value.

    Cons

Some people are stagnant so difficult to move positions.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within and develop your people.
