I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Training is top notch & extensive for each role that you are put into.

Cons

Time frames for training & implementation are sometimes a little unrealistic. Control some of the core managers, when some think no-one is listening or watching it's worse than a NFL/College locker room w/ the language & misogynistic attitudes & conversations. Not sure if I would want my daughter working under some or at all w/in this environment in the Service division.

Advice to Management

Be a little more flexible with expectations and roles as the company is continuing to expand post-2008.

    Pros

Fidelity is a great company to start your career. i am forever gratefull for the job. If you dont mind talking on the phone its a nice stable job with great people

    Cons

tough to move up without making a few lateral moves potentially

    Advice to Management

like most big places its very political, who you know. I have no advice to middle management, my advice to employees is to play the game right. Your numbers don't matter as much as if your boss is willing to go bat for you to get you the next job. become really good friends with your boss and you will be promoted, nuff said.
