Neutral Outlook
No opinion of CEO

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Compensation is decent between the cash & share compensation. Certainly feel some compression taking hold though as they try to get closer to industry benchmarls

Cons

Salary compression trend, continued geographic expansion out of MA. Somewhat limited promotion opportunities

I worked at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent pay, decent benefits, workable facilities. It is difficult to find another fourteen words to meet the requirements of this posting.

    Cons

Good old boy type of culture there.
If you are the type that enjoys getting credit when deserved, you can forget that here, but they will let you know if they don't like something you are doing.
Too much fraternizing with co-workers going on, and not just hanging out (Holiday Parties are for employees only, this is where a lot of the Infidelity comes into play).
If you are relying on your merits to take you places, you can forget that here. It's all about who you know and who's jokes you laugh at.
Too many double standards (what is good for one person, is not good for the next even if they are suppose to be a level above you.)
Middle management needs to be thoroughly investigated.
They throw around the VP title to anyone; deserving or not.
No promotional opportunities unless you know someone.
HR is a joke; not really a support system and they are somewhat difficult to reach.
Fear is often used to try to get you to conform or become friends

    Advice to Management

Do a thorough review of all Directors and VP's. You are being hoodwinked by the results that are driven by your front line employees.
