I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Paid study time to pass exams.

    Cons

Fidelity is one of those "we grew too fast for our own good" companies. From 1990 to 2000, the employee base grew exponentially and alot of people who had no business being in any sort of management role found themselves in charge of other people in management. Fidelity now cannot care about their new recruits having bachelor's or master's degrees, because many of the site directors have only high school diplomas to their name. The national director of phone centers is working on a bachelor's degree. There is no reward for education or effort, and for a while the quickest way to get into a manager position was to be female--hardly any other qualification was needed.

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Get rid of all the college dropouts leading your customer support teams. Stop playing favorites to females employees.

I have been working at Fidelity Investments full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Fabulous long term compensation, career growth, and intelligent and trustworthy colleagues. Private ownership and high profitability has translated into high investment in people, offices, and technology.

    Cons

Regional diversification is putting strain on finding new opportunities while putting your current role at risk. Alot of movement and reassignment of business units to various national and international sites

    Advice to Management

    Keep it up!
