I have been working at Firestone Complete Auto Care as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

Great experience, Met lots of upper management. We went to several large cities for training.

Cons

Few opportunities for advancement. It takes a great deal of time to move up in the company past store manager.

Advice to Management

None.

    Pros

    Great environment. respect. good training.

    Cons

    long hours, the nature of the beast, but what it bothers me was the poor scheduling. Manager gives you next week schedule Saturday night. No time to plan anything in advance.

    Advice to Management

    Don't care about long hours but managers should be make responsible to plan at least 2 weeks in advance so teammates can plan doctors visits, etc.

    Pros

    There are proceedures and guidelines that all employees must adhere to and practice daily. Clear and consise goals for the stores and organization simplify my customer service approach and experience. The customer experience at Firestone is an essential part of the environment for automotive service and life long customers.

    Cons

    There are no current downsides to this organization.

    Advice to Management

    Metrics are definetly one way of gaging the statistical productivity of any entity. There are many other measurements such as customers who return to Firestone, those that reccomend Firestone and those that switch from competitors to Firestone. This is an area of statistics that might increase customer loyalty and satisfaction. If our customers are special, shouldn't we treat them special?
