I worked at First Command Financial Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The gym is excellent and the covered parking is a plus. The rank and file employees are generally very friendly.

    Cons

Shallow, narcissistic senior management that could not work at similarly sized real financial firms. Very low pay in comparison with peer groups. Recent lay-offs indicate financial instability. Very low new client creation neccessary for growth. Run!

    Advice to Management

Fear the day the rube employees become aware they own the company. Find and terminate those toxic managers!!! If I were a Director on the Board, I would be looking at stepping in before it is too late. Carol Payne would be disappointed. Lastly, FCFP will NOT be able to survive in the military market where its reputation is poisoned. It will not survive in the middle market where it is outclassed all its peers. I’d recommend a switch to selling used cars.

    Pros

Emphasize learning the products so you are very well educated. Sponsors licenses.

    Cons

Using you just to sell and MUST learn ridiculous script. Very difficult when it's only commissions.

    Advice to Management

Let people sell their own way
