Pros

One of the best paying companies in Ohio. Opportunities are there, but you have to be willing to really seek them out. As always, you can be whatever you want to be but you must be engaged and willing to work for it.

Cons

Still a company of the good old boys. Opportunities for females are harder to come by. There are females in upper management but overall there is a tilt towards male management.

A number of changes to benefits since the recession started. Not convinced they were need but they benefited the company at that time and will continue to provide benefit to company long term.

Advice to Management

Open more opportunities for females. Treat your long-term employees better. They have been loyal to you and desire recognition in both salary, appreciation and benefits. Much of that is gone now.

    Pros

Very secure company with good benefits.

    Cons

You need to be connected to the 'right' person to advance. Skills, education and experience are not necessarily considered.

    Advice to Management

Management needs more training on how to develop employees.

    Pros

If you know how to play their game, you can succeed. I was told by co-workers that not all departments function the same and some are fair, but I never saw this during my time there.

    Cons

Hard work does not always pay off. Management was too wrapped up in themselves to see the big picture.

    Advice to Management

Get your heads out of the sand and open your eyes. Notice what is going on in the department. There are good workers that are being ignored and poor workers that can shmooz and move up in the company.
