I have been working at Fiserv part-time (More than a year)

Pros

great campus, relaxed atmosphere, there are a lot of open positions for you to transfer to and stay with in the company. Management is supportive of you doing well.

Cons

Such a large company it is easy to get stuck in the same position with no outlook for advancement. Management is extremely busy, very little one on one attention. You have to really push to have any kind of mentor or growth training.

Advice to Management

pay attention to employees more so they feel supported and needed.

I have been working at Fiserv full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They offer benefits package to employees.

    Cons

What they offer leaves a lot to be desired.

    Advice to Management

Just watched an hour long webinar from HR executive on changes to the benefits package (medical, dental, life insurance, etc) for 2014. They tried to explain that they aimed to be middle of the pack with regard to benefits offered to employees as compared to other fortune 500 companies. In doing so they lowered some benefits, increased some & costs are also in line with that model. Way to go Fiserv, your HR benefits motto appears to be 'strive to be mediocre' - should employees model this same behavior on the value we add to Fiserv???

I don't use any the Fiserv benefits as my spouse has vastly superior benefits (e.g. Vision premium is more than 50% cheaper than what Fiserv offers, medical also significantly less pricey than Fiserv & with better coverage).

If you consider a job from Fiserv, calculate in the fact that you will spend a small fortune on medical monthly premiums & out of pocket costs from your salary.

I worked at Fiserv full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most of the people outside of the department were great.

    Cons

    Lamens working in IT
    Management is fragmented (different states).
    Management is clueless.
    No one cares.
    No one listens.
    Prison-like set-up.
He-said/She-said wins over logic and facts.
    HR is useless.
Many people could be confused for handicapped.
Management defers problems and continues to use their convoluted processes.
Just read any other Fiserv review...

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring from friends and start hiring people who can do the job.
Listen to employee's instead of passing it off to someone else.
Fire the entire Management chain, save for a couple of Managers.
