I worked at Fluke Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people, flexible schedule, 6% 401k matching, can eventually earn up to 4 weeks vacation. Just show up and work and you can't get fired.

    Cons

Terrible pay, very low raises, slow progression rate. Expected to work until the job is finished regaurdless if the overtime was manditory or not. Favoritism shown. Expected to do 3 people's jobs on 2/3 of a single person's salary

    Advice to Management

Give appropriate raises to employees. Don't make them wait 4 years until it is "their turn" to get a decent raise. You do realize that people will be more willing to work hard if that effort actually pays off??? Why do you think some people work less hard every year? Here is a hint........ They didn't get a good raise for going above and beyond!

I worked at Fluke Corporation full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Driven for success. Strong business culture and tools

    Cons

Location, Cost cutting hurts kills innovation and takes from the employees to give to the Sr. Management.
    Little respect for personal life.
Culture is who can stay at work the longest.
"Stretch Goals" are adjusted to be unatainable if you are meeting or close to meeting them so you will never achieve a goal of significance.

    Advice to Management

Don't save a few hundred thousand dollars by cutting employee pay or benefits then take equivilant or more in bonuses for yourself. If employees are really your best asset, treat them as such and don't play the phsycological games of moving targets and brow beating even when performance is best in class in Danaher and general business.
Work 24 -7 stiffles people's balance and judgement driving leaders and want-to-be leaders to make poor and bad descisions while fueled by stimulants just to keep up the standard pace
