I have been working at Fluke Corporation full-time (More than a year)

Pros

I work with smart people and I am challenged every day. Great product, great people, great projects. Truly proud to be part of Fluke.

Cons

Being part of Danaher can be challenging with having such strong lean principles, very little budget to do much of anything outside of your core work.

Advice to Management

Would be nice to have a little room to spend, it goes a long way for your employees.

I have been working at Fluke Corporation as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Cafeteria on site, big office space

    Cons

They control every minute that you are there like you were in the army, nasty old pink office setup with old cubes. You have no voice, if you say something they will look at you badly and probably let you go. People work from 7 am to 6 pm and sometimes are asked so stay longer. If you don't have an MBA from Yale forget about growing in your career here. Even if you do, be prepared to be a great politician.

    Advice to Management

Change your culture, army culture is outdated and proved not to work in 2014. Listening to people, finding fun moments while at work and not controlling people like they were in war will make them feel motivated to work happier and to actually want to go to work.

I worked at Fluke Corporation full-time

    Pros

An amazing place to learn. Very steep learning curve. 1 year here is good for about 2-3 at most any other company I have worked with. Danaher is a good company to learn from to see what works well, and what doesn't.

    Cons

    Everett.
Hours can be pretty long, depending on your role and group.
Focus is just on making money, not on the people.

    Advice to Management

Move quicker to keep you talent; if someone learns quickly and gets bored in their role, you need to respond quickly and keep them challenged or they will leave.
