I have been working at Fluke Networks full-time

    Pros

There are many hard-working associates at Fluke Networks that generally strive to do their job well. Depending on the manager, some associates have the flexibility to work from home occasionally.

    Cons

The company is very short-sited, always looking to make monthly and quarterly numbers regardless of the compromises that are required.
When you do something right, management will always take credit for it. When something goes wrong, expect to be thrown under the bus. It's a very demoralizing environment.

    Advice to Management

Show genuine compassion for your employees. Stop living in denial about the poor company culture. Recognize that there are bad managers that have a negative effect on company morale and retention rates - and do something about this!

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Learning Danaher best practices
Being part of a company with strong brand recognition
    Some very good mid-level talent
    Wasn't micro-managed

    Cons

Fanatical focus on monthly/quarterly results leads management to make poor long term decisions
Parent Danaher does a stellar job creating shareholder value (= buy the stock) but this is at the expense of the employee (=low raises, frequent layoffs, very high pressure to deliver)
Compared to other companies I've worked for, not a fun place to work

    Advice to Management

Balance respect for employees against financial results
Invest in innovation - in the long term playing it safe is the riskiest strategy
