Doesn't Recommend
No opinion of CEO

Pros

- mission to help families thrive
 - integrity of some in management
 - desire to make a difference for families

Cons

- not a great commitment to real change
 - growth/'voice' determined by favoritism
 - organization tends to be satisfied with mediocrity

Advice to Management

The opportunity is real to make a difference for today's families, however, until leadership is willing to make the hard decision and actually sacrifice breadth for depth, and invest in those who have vision and ability, it will continue to spiral downward.

    Pros

    Great work culture
    Communication Department management is outstanding
    Co-workers are tons of fun

    Cons

There's really no way to up in Guest Relations, only way to move up at Focus is to change departments.

Summer time can be ridiculously busy

It feeeels like the rest of the ministry sees Guest Relations as an afterthought, when it's probably one of the most important aspects of what people see of Focus on the Family

    Advice to Management

Take time to learn what we do, and that value of GR.
Provide Comm department with more/better resources instead of what feels like the leftovers.

Lots of stress when expected to answer a certain amount of calls but also have a true desire to help people instead of rush them off the phone.

    Advice to Management
