    Pros

Ford is a great company that treats its employees well. They have regular career discussions, and there is plenty of opportunity for movement and growth.

    Cons

Can be bureaucratic, and sometimes people are afraid to take risks.

Great company for long term stability

    Pros

Good pay for experienced people entering company. Good pay if you move up company. Skilled engineers with good insight in most management positions. Solid leadership development. Good benefits although they've gone way downhill over the years. Flexible company that is doing it's best to reduce it's bureaucracy. Ford is still a good 'career' job setting you up for possible early retirement in life. Health is now more limited and pensions are largely gone, but still matching on 401k and good benefits partners. This losses are more of a sign of our times.

    Cons

Still a bit more bureaucratic and stair-step advancement from newer corporations, but with inverse stability and support if you don't live up to lofty goals. Departments are too much add odds with each other in delivery approach, internal competition adds to the bureaucracy. Ford is a global, but centralized organization who's success largely came from engineers climbing the ladder and knowing every bolt of the company. Ford College Graduate program is still a big part of how they build talent base, and probably the best way to begin a long term career at Ford. Outsiders may have a harder time fitting on the ladder, though it's improving. I think the only reason Ford scores lower on Diversity and Inclusion has to do with their internal model for employee growth, not their cultural values. Engineers who came up as FCG's rarely share a feelings of discrimination, regardless of their creed.
