I have been working at Forever 21 part-time

Pros

Fast Paced - Always something to do.
When hours are good - Theyre GOOD.
People are going to call out, which allows you to pick up shifts.
Meet people
Looks good on your resume because everyone knows Forever

Cons

Some of the worst clientele because of the affordability of the brand and the mass quantity product
Customers drop the clothes right on the floor when they dont like it and walk right on it.
Opportunity is given to the biggest brown noser on staff. or the manager just likes them.
if you want to move up! BE VERY VOCAL ABOUT IT. They wont notice your grind unless a customer walks up to the manager and tells them you were very helpful or you tell the manager yourself what a great job your doing.

Hours will go up and down anywhere from 12 hours - 30 hours a week. BUT THATS JUST RETAIL anywhere you work you will deal with that.

Advice to Management

pay closer attention to your sales associates as they are the backbone of the stores. they need to advance!

I have been working at Forever 21 full-time

    Pros

Some of the associates were really great.

    Cons

They don't care about their employees at all. The district manager got upset that management within the store rotates and gets one weekend off a month. The district manager said that every member of management needs to work every single weekend which is completely unrealistic. They are definitely out to get a profit and don't really care who gets taken advantage of along the way which is probably why people typically leave within their first week. Definitely stressful.

    Advice to Management

If the upper management actually came into the stores and saw how business was they might be able to provide more insight on how we should run the store, instead they sit in an office and email us different directives that end up getting switched again the following week and then expect everyone to send pictures in to show that we did as we were told. Micromanagement big time!

I worked at Forever 21 part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It is a job that pays.

    Cons

Disorganized and unmotivated management, high turnover of workers due to everyone hating their jobs, floor layouts changed every few weeks--it was impossible to know where everything in the store was and to put it away quickly and accurately unless you worked there every single day. Minimal employee discount. Most people who work here are counting down the days until they quit.
