I have been working at Fortive full-time

    Pros

    1. The company has been growing in the recent years by merger & acquisitions 2. Great work-life balance 3. The Fortive Business System has been helping the company grow by eliminating wastes 4. Extremely lean

    Cons

    1. White & old-fashioned: The leadership "talks" a lot about diversity. In reality, over 90% of the management positions are held by white people. You have to be either white or have an elite MBA degree to get to a higher position. Skill & knowledge don't seem to be important. Take for example Kirsten the VP of the FBSO. She reports directly to the CEO and could easily be a CEO in her own right. However she isn't afraid to take on small tasks like teaching a class of interns for a day when need be. She is laser...

    Cons

Honestly, not very many. Benefits are great. I do wish they would not always run so lean around PDs. It can create stress and conflicting priorities for some folks.

    Advice to Management

Keep moving into the SaaS area. Really cool to see the growth.
